TAT Coordinating Secretary Anita Erinne pays courtesy visit to State Minister Budget Planning Dr Uzoka-Anite

The Coordinating Secretary of the Tax Appeal Tribunal, Mrs Anita Erinne, on Tuesday paid an official courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, at the Minister’s office, Abuja.


While welcoming the Coordinating Secretary and her team, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Deborah Odoh, outlined the core mandate of the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, commended the Tax Appeal Tribunal for its critical role in the timely adjudication of tax disputes and expressed optimism for a productive engagement. 


In her address, the Tax Appeal Tribunal, Coordinating Secretary, Mrs. Anita Erinne, expressed deep appreciation, on behalf of the Tribunal, for the unwavering support of the Honourable Minister during her tenure as Minister of State for Finance. Mrs Erinne noted that the Minister demonstrated a strong commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s fiscal institutions, with the Tribunal being a key beneficiary. 


According to the Coordinating Secretary, the Minister’s leadership fostered an enabling environment for institutional growth and enhanced operational efficiency within the tax administration framework, which significantly improved the credibility of the Tribunal, adding that the Minister’s leadership has left a lasting impact and established a solid foundation for ongoing and future reforms. 


Mrs. Erinne concluded by wishing the Honourable Minister continued success in her current role.


In her response, the Honourable Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite expressed gratitude for the visit and pledged her continued support to the Tax Appeal Tribunal. Hon. Minister commended the Coordinating Secretary for her professionalism, competence, and strong interpersonal relationships, as well as the positive contributions of both past and present Commissioners of the Tribunal. She acknowledged the Tribunal’s role in ensuring fair and equitable dispensation of justice and in easing the burden on taxpayers.


The Honourable Minister concluded by thanking the Coordinating Secretary and her team for the visit, noting that it was not their first engagement and expressing appreciation for being remembered.


The Coordinating Secretary team include Mr. Mohammed Suleimen (Head of Accounts), Ms. Ruth N. Mandeun (Personal Assistant/Head, Communication & Publicity), Mr. Ibrahim Ojih (Head of Audit), and Mrs. Ashia Goya (Secretary to the CS-TAT).
